What was different this year?
As always, 8 teams from the Champions League went on to playing in the Europa League. According to the new rules, 4 teams who had better performances in the Champions League were seeded and the other four teams were unseeded.

The seeded teams included the group leaders and the best four 3rd placers. Teams such as Roma, Valencia, Shakhtar, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Interestingly, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid were unseeded in this draw.

Spot: The luck of German teams. The lucky German team was Bayern Munchen who drew Fiorentina when they could have drawn Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester but instead they drew Fiorentina. The unlucky German team was Stuttgart, who drew the number one favorite, Barcelona.

Dude you can focus a bit more on Fenerbahce, we drew a tough team which has been performing above expectations this season, if we eliminate them we'll play against the winner of Unirea-Liverpool. And if Gala elimante Atletico they'll play against the winner of Sporting Lisboa-Everton so two Istanbul rivals can play against two Merseyside rivals at the top 16 stage.
